The Human Rights Arts & Film Festival has several films directed by women including The Opposition and Constance on the Edge in their lineup. It begins in Melbourne in May, and tours other cities throughout May and June.

American Essentials has The Untold Tales of Armistead Maupin, The Bomb and Strange Weather in their lineup.

Mercury has some screenings of Jasper Jones, David Stratton: A Cinematic Life and Suzy and the Simple Man in May.

Check below for where the films are screening*:

Palace Nova; Hoyts; Wallis; Greater Union; Reading Cinemas; Moonlight CinemaCapri Theatre; Odeon Star; The Regal Theatre/Trak Cinemas; Gawler Cinemas; Mercury Cinema**.

As always, I’m just one (forgetful and easily overwhelmed) person and can sometimes miss things so, please let me know if I have.

*I’ve focussed on cinemas that have chains in SA/only SA cinemas.

**Mercury screens limited current releases.
