Toni Erdmann directed by Maren Ade, release date 2nd of February (via Event Cinemas)

Other:

Mercury has two screenings of Chevalier directed by Athina Rachel Tsangari in February.

In Sydney, Tropfest has some films directed by women in their finalists, Short + Sweet film festival is also on but the programme isn’t announced until the 7th of February and the Mardi Gras film festival has quite a few films directed by women, including: Below Her Mouth, Don’t Call Me Son, Memories of a Penitent Heart, Burn Burn Burn, The Pearl, Check It, and a bunch more.
